Fantastic books Barry, thank you for posting them up.
I first saw "Angling in Australia it's Histories and writings" in a photo you sent me last year, the title was enough to get my interest and I found a copy to read which I highly reccomend to anyone with an interest in angling. I should add that my copy is neither leather bound, or signed! Wow that's special! |

Cheers, Tony

I was down at the book launch for this last one and it was an extremely sad evening for us all
as we could see that Bob was in the final stage of his illness. For the previous 10 or more years
he had been the inspiration of all us Aussie fishing book and fishing reel collectors and we respected,
admired and loved deeply such an amazing man.

I was lucky enough to be at AFN while the Saltwater Gamefishes book was being made and the effort and research that went into it was staggering. The leather bound books are almost priceless IMO.
Bob was such a nice fella while doing this book and travelled to AFN a few times at critical stages to proof, edit and alter images. It is a work of art in itself. I've read it from cover to cover for work but never got one in the flesh - stupid stupid man!
Great references and history.
