Have been quietly progressing with this lure making gig and always trying different things or ideas to improve the process and hence the outcome.

One of those is this awesome squeeze bottle made for thinnners - I've found it so much better than trying to pour thinners from the tin into tiny paint bottles or should I say all over the floor or self. Sits on the bench, always available and holds half a litre Tongue

Be great to hear of any other small process improvements be they timber, paint, chemicals, storing, drying, tools, etc related Wink

Cheers

Rob

Here is a new addition to my lure making kit. Jet Robinson wire twister, M 84, made in the USA. These are great for twisting eyelets. They are fantastic...very quick. Apparently these are not made any more, however there are plenty of copies on ebay for around $20-$30.

cheers steiny

Rob, they open and close like normal pliers, but when forced closed tightly, the perforated area is the grip for a sliding lock which holds the pliers shut, clamping the wire in the jaws. Then you grab the knurled round nut on the end and pull...inside there is a helical drive which twists the pliers to form the twisted shank.

does that explain it well enough???

Rob, is that a fuel bottle for IC powered remote controlled toys???
should be OK for thinners even 2 pk as most model IC motors run on methanol rich mixtures.
