No troubles at Townsville airport through security this morning with a couple of hookless lures. Hoping for id's tomorrow. (First expo) Anyone had troubles getting hookless through
lures transiting Brisbane. Only taking carry on. |

Never had problems carrying hookless lures - including international and US domestic which are way worse than our domestic usually.

Yeah mate carry everything in checked luggage no problem. Get some funny looks checking in a small 3kg backpack on the way home though.

I accidently bought some lures in Brunei and put them in my carry on bag and they let me through - totally surprised. I can't see an issue if they are in your luggage.

Now allowed to carry on reels spooled up with braid as well. Once upon a time it was not allowed...only reels on carry on with no line. Was classed as a weapon because you could strangle someone with it. Seems they have relaxed the security over the years.
