Finally started making some lures for the creeks up here.
The trade winds are in full swing in Cooktown so after a few trials and many errors.
Here is my mullet.
Painted over 3 separate coats of UV resin.
I am loving the UV resin for this type of stuff as it’s not a 3 days process but unsure if I’ll use it for my larger stickbaits and poppers.
It doesn’t seem to bond to the previous layer anywhere near as well as epoxy.

That is a top paint job and colour combo, great shape and a good finish.

So you are in Cooktown at the moment? Currently we have another rain storm going on. This is one very wet "dry" season.

It's been too rough for the reef, the rocks and the rivers are still pretty dead with very little bait moving in.

Been to Lakefield a couple of times and looking at going again once the rain eases up.

It will have to happen.

Thanks mate,
It took a while to get it all happening.
Grabbed a mullet out of the castnet and studied it for a bit.
Hopefully it imitates one enough to be swallowed :)
