Here's a mix of Leads Lures I've added to my collection over the last few weeks.

A bit of a mix from early signed models, through to a couple of the latest made by Terry I grabbed at Bransfords.

Thanks Simon

Would this be the extra special one you were thinking of? I like it a lot Big smile

There's quite a mix in this lot, although another favourite of mine is the beaten up one at bottom left with two extra hook hangers - It might not be the most beautifull lure, although it has a great story to tell and is indeed very special! It's the lure I mentioned that Vic McCristal was experimenting with to find whereabouts on the lure different species of fish strike at. more info at this link

Tony

I was referring to the extra hook hanger model that Vic McCristal was experimenting with, though the one you have put the picture up of is a very fine speciment, looks in top condition and the handwritten models are a particular favorite.

Gday Simon,

Yes it is indeed very special, as was meeting Vic. (sorry I wasn't sure if you'd seen the post about that lure and the story behind it)

As you can see from the appearance of the lure Vic succeeded in getting the target fish (Fingermark) using this lure! I must find out if Vic ever published his findings as I'd love to read it.

Does the top right (Yellow/black stripes) have Leads under the bib?
Cheers,
Jim

I hadn't seen one of this style before Jim, although from memory I believe Barry mentioned it was a Leads.

I'll check with Barry and get back to you as he's more reliable than my memory LOL

Gday Jim,

Thanks for pointing this one out, it's always good to have them in the right pile! Smile

I had a chat with Barry - He agreed it is quite possibly an Elliots, do you have a picture of the ones you recently acquired?
