That lure is a Speed Shad made by True Temper lures, they also made a "Crippled Shap" with the hardware mounted at 90 degrees.

Definitely wood, hard to tell age as they were all made the same. Haven't got that colour in my charts, does it look like someone has touched it up with a paint marker?

It has some rust stains on the otheside, that appear old.
It does seem like an odd paint job to me?
It very well could of been repainted? But nothing strikes me that it has been touched up.

Certainly looks like a re-paint / touch up. Looks 100% the original shape but certainly no where near the original quality of paint job as in the photo's supplied.

Just my opinion.

Cheers TB

Hi, yes I would agree it was likely repainted, now with the current facts presented by you guys.
I thought at first it was just privately made all together.
Was just saying the old repaint does not seem to be touched up.
I guess I consider a touch up to be like a minor scratch repaired or so. Like in the case of a photo.
I think it is an odd choice of repainting for sure.
Guess we can say folk-art or something. I do like it for some strange reason.

Thank you everyone for the input.

This is an original colour scheme, still in great condition. Not sure of age but I think they were still being made in the 70's. (both of mine have "Phillips style screws attaching the bib) The second one is a "Crippled Shad" with the hooks and bib at 90 degrees to the centre line to imitate a wounded baitfish. They always have a spring arrangement on the bib, possibly to help avoid hangups on structure...
