    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 at 8:55pm

I'm back into making lures..

I am now carving my lures after having them machine cut, I have bought new paints after finally dishing Createx paint.

My lures are becoming popular on Facebook and as this forum was the place where I discovered lure making I thought I should post up some latest pictures of my lures.

These lures are painted and ready for clear gloss, in the coming days I will post up pictures of them finished. Since going back to carving and changing paints I am selling out of the lures before I can finish them, so I must be doing something right

These are One Cast Scoots, a dart copy.

This is a new size of the current Model, Romtom Mid Size, designed to target Bass, Cod, Yellas. troll
 out to 7 - 8 metres.

These are Romtom Minis, now with a metal bib, great lure for casting to bass, trolls to about 2 - 3 metres. A Romtom Mini Wakebait prototype is in this batch, its going to Borumba Dam for testing on Toga.

Thanks for looking... finished pictures in a few days..Thumbs Up

Using Dulux Autospeed, a guy that works in a paint shop who is on Facebook is converting just about every lure maker in the country onto it.

So easy to use as well, 50 50 with 2 K thinners..it's all 2k from start to finish

I had a cod fisherman ask me for a lure that same shape as my Scoot but larger, so the Scoot Jumbo was born. 160mm long 50 grams, carved from Brown Beech, swims with a very wide action with plenty of thumping on the rod.

I am days off finishing the current batch, or 14 sold in a day. $40 with Bkk Hooks and Decoy Splits.

Here is a pair not far from being finished, the Scoot and the Jumbo...

A recent catch on a Romtom Mini Wakebait prototype. I will be making more soon.

These were requested by a friend who fishes for Saratoga regularly in Borumba Dam.

Back into making lures after a break, I don't normally make lures during summer but after someone requested some lures to be made I used my tax cheque and Air conditioned my shed as in Ipswich its like an oven in there, not anymore.

Here's some Romtoms that were sitting on the Bench for ages, finished them once the AC went in,. I am almost mastering this Envirotex finish, this set has created a lot of interest so I must be doing something right,

Thanks for Looking

Sel Thumbs Up

Some Scoots I finished this week, some of the best lures I have made. They look so good, the Envirotex sealed the complete lure and left a shiny finish. The picture don't do them justice Smile

My latest lure, finished this week, a smaller version of a Barra Lure I made in 2020.

This is the Goozman 90, hand carved from Jelutong, 90mm Body Length, 16 grams, Pinned Alloy Bib, dives to 2 meters on the retrieve, HD hardware, VMC hooks. I reckon Flathead would like these too.
