I acquired these lures on the weekend and they come from Vic McCrystal's private collection. What age would they be Anthony and are you still making these shapes.

Deb, the top one looks like a "Pili" The other could be a "DT" minnow (fat version) Prob mid 90's  Check out Anthonys post in the Deep River section in QLD lures.

Hi Deb ,
They would have been made around '93-94 l reckon. The top lure is unusual , sort of a 'heavy duty' Pili. ls it 4" long?
The lower lure is a DT Minnow 'fat' version. l made and sold a lot of those back in the day Wink

l havent made those lures since about 1994-early 95.

Regards,
Barney.

I will proudly put these with your other lures in my collection. Is there an article done by Vic McCrystal on them in Modern Fishing? Would love to have that too.

I have put quite a number of  Vic's articles up  in the past, it maybe up on the site.
My filing system took a nose diver when visitors from overseas arrived and all books/mags were banished to the  garage.
 Capt and Jim can confirm.
I have  had to start from scratch to find anything.
I have offered to fine Chris a picture of a special fly made out of fly line it still evades my searches.
Found some interesting fly patterns, i hope to put up shortly.
regards John
