Is it worth annealing that stuff if its too stiff and brittle? I often just run a flame from gas torch over what I'm working with to soften it a bit, works well enough with stainless wire I've used, and with fish hooks too when you want to open up the eyes of chem sharpened hooks

I bought some 1.2mm TIG wire from Allweld, at Beresfield, a few weeks ago.  Bends and twists perfectly.

Jeez, when I first started I was buying mason soft wire, its great, but too expensive, so tried some welding wire, and it was really brittle, and broke when I twisted it, different sort of stainless welding wire?
I ve been useing safty tie wire that I buy at the local airport shop, which is as cheap as chips and twists really easily, might have to try welding wire again though.

Most of us get our omegas from Dave at "Fishing Unlimited" it's a great product and a good price too.
