In their FAQ's.

Q: Do you ship your products internationally?
Yes we typically use FEDEX for international shipping. The only items in our product line that can not be shipped internationally are the aerosol cans of mold release (specifically the UMR and the Stoner). Our shipping quotes do not include duties/taxes and brokerage fees that incur when products are delivered.

Perhaps a bulk order if members got together. I would be keen if that was possible.

Hi,  very interested too.  Would appreciate any further information when available or to possibly part of any combined order.

The black light or uv light also new to me.  Any info on this also would be appreciated if the coating was available.

Thanks and regards

I have been using a uv resin for a while now and I am still not convinced if it is the right way to go.
Maybe this one might be better, the uv torches are available from China about half the price or you can use a finger nail light available on the bay.

Good luck

It looks like the Alumi-UV will not be available in Australia. The importer just informs me the product has a shelf life of 3 months and is already two months old by the time it lands plus time to ship to the customer meaning in most cases it will only have approx 3 weeks of shelf life left........bugger!

Blinky - Been playing with a few different UV's for about 18 months (all epoxy), it has it's good and bad points !!
Be wary of 'doming resins' as this is what they do, also UV polyester, from what I have seen it's what all polyesters are, @ nowhere near the gloss or strength of UV epoxies.
You don't need lights , it cures to touch in the sun (or overcast) in 15-30 sec.
Pete

Depends what you need it for Blinky, for a finish coat, none yet- "Solarez" showed a lot of promise but is tacky, BUT we just have to wait for the 'surfboard fraternity' to get onto it and we are away--They have been using it in the U.S for quite a while now (on boards), it's so simple compared to 'What We Used on boards In The Old Days' and the whole system looks great.
If you can get a hold of some of this Alumi-UV it could be the goods, they don't say what type of resin it is (epoxy--polyester) but it would be worth a try--- I'm up for a litre of this too, cost isn't a problem, I have spent 100s of $ already
I have used it a lot for gluing eyes on etc, if the sun can get at it, it's great, if it can't it's useless- so don't try and put your hook hangers in with it.
Pete.

I have used solarez, it is more of a matt than a gloss. I also use the fly uv resins and they work very well also available in different viscosities. At the moment I am using KS Diamond finish it is excellent, it compares pretty well with the dick night stuff but a lot easier to store. Sets fairly quickly it takes the moisture from the air to set. It is a car finish and dries hard and extra glossy.

Just my 2 cents worth.

hey guys. did you's ever try this stuff out? how were the results, if so?
watching the video, he mentions it takes a couple minutes for the uv light to harden it, yet he just simply hangs the lure there, not having it rotating. wouldn't that result in some runs possibly?

No problem Chris I have been involved with so much lure making research lately its making my head spin I am finishing of my bib mould as well. The company makes UV coating for glossy magazines, adhesives and are working on material for 3D printing If you PM me your address phone No. I will send you a couple of coated samples I have done for your opinion on. Its as shiny as any coating I have ever seen it cures in such a narrow light band it takes 30 to 60 seconds to freeze in direct sunlight and 1to 3 hours to cure fully. With a light I just purchased should fully cure it in 5 to 10 seconds upto a millimeter thick The price there selling it for will surprise you.

would the fingernail top coat that hardens with a UV light be similar? no, I don't know about it from personal use.

there's also an epoxy I see at stores(can't remember the name) that also hardens with an included UV light. Bondix, I think it's called. but it's quite pricey.

The stuff they use on finger nails is water sensitive it softens when immersed for 10min or more The material is a mixture of polyurathane and methylacyrilic some of my testing is leaving lures in the pools filter box and immerced in salt water in a prawn bait trap off my dock,, very technical
Plastics and water are funny bedfellows PE and PP has no effect .Nylon 6 and 6.6 require it to become flexible and impact resistant fresh out of the moulding machine they can break when dropped a month later when they have absorbed moisture from the atmosphere you can shoot them from a air cannon
You can actually measure the weight they gain with a set of jewelers scales Bondix is a  methylacyrilic not an epoxy and should be water sensitive unless it has a modifier

I experimented with the bondix trying to glue my twist-eyes in with it. it didn't work so well. I knew it wouldn't harden the glue that was hidden inside the hole, but wanted to see if hardening the exposed bit would be sufficient. it didn't seem to be.
I made the move to BSI epoxy for my twisted-eyes.

There are a few UV catilized cure resins they will go hard all the way through when exposed in one spot, and some have a heat set feature. They tend to be in the industrial sector trust me the best adhesives are in the automotive assembly lines in factories and optics assembly Thanks Abboot for chasing away the largest importer of tier 1 machinery and equipment.
