I have these Oar Gees and was lead to believe that if they have the lead weight on the bib then they are timber. But to me they seem too light to be timber. The top 2 don't have rattles, all of the others are rattlers.

Mate I just did my two,,,,,one was MEANT to be timber......guess what turned into plastic some how.....can anyone tell me how to stop this dodginess from spreading to my other timber lures....Grrrrrrr.....Gary

Some of the hand signed oar gees are plastic as well, not easy to tell just by looking at them...

Some of these look like they have grain, but they are very light. They are all exactly the same size, width, thickness. But they may have been made on a copy lathe if they are timber. I can't do the pin test until tomorrow.

60,75 & 100mm Plows are all in ABS plastic with rattles now. "In 1985 our lures were hand carved from timber, this painstaking method was slow, time consuming and as the demand for our lures increased it soon gave way to poly urethane injection. Initially our first lures were made off site until purchasing our own injection machine in the mid nineties. This process soon became out dated, and we were unable to keep up with the increasing demand. |
