After reading this post I have come to the conclusion that a comment from the bigman has been deleted...& to call Dr Puglee or Dr Nicho when ill would be crazy..Dr Puglee would just bite ya & Dr Nicho would give you dots & spots not relive the symptoms...As to our specialist crazy Mr Viper I have it from a good mate that he rings him up & talks to sheep...so be warned Glider any medical advice you receive here I would try the opposite first...as to our lure makers I have met a heap & I am yet to meet a saneone yet all seem partial to breathing in thinners & paint fums in large amounts & the mix with loads of American Honey...& that sir is not from any bee I have seen...

Thankyou Mr Viper,
Its been an arduous few days, and Im sure that you are quite exhausted from applying cream to bobs peanut.
Dr Puglee and myself did not envisage that Bob would request the cream to be applied as often as he did!
And we both hope that your wrist injury improves sooner rather than later.

i would suggest Dr Nicho that perhaps now that Bob is a little better that it would be very therapeutic for him to apply the cream to Mr Viper for a while?from what i hear his peenut is also now ailing!

A couple of recent cedar trolling lures for pike and large trout, these imitate patterns of brown trout from a specific loch. Posted some more in' lures you have made' .still finding way round forum, but the welcome and feedback have been top notch, so thanks again for that. I particularly like that many of you make your own tools etc. As well as do your own thing when it comes to lure design and patterns. Even if it does come with a touch of lunacy ! One thing i would ask- if its not too presumptuous for a fairly new member-- remember how back in the 1800s we gave you your trout? Any chance you could se your way to sending me a few thousand baramundi fry, I like the look of them ! ,wonder how they'd do in loch lomond or loch ness?

Cheers madoldeel, but just for clarity,in scotland we do have laddies, but only in Ireland do they have tops to their mornins. Born scotland, half irish blood though, so no offence. Like i say, in scotland we don't do top a the mornin, we are mostly a very miserable race of a morning .cheers .

Great looking lures!

What range of speeds do they work well with?
How deep do they run?

Cheers ... JKR

Thanks j.k.r -If you mean the two trout in pic above then i made these to troll very slowly in cold water, with strong action. However i test them by trolling at speeds way,way quicker than i will ever fish them as a measure of build symmetry etc. And they are very stable.regards....glider

Madoldeel, i will not be drawn into any insulting or offensive discussion about any country or race ,and bearing in mind, i have many friends i respect greatly, from south of hadrians wall (think that's how you spell it but not sure) when you refer to poms, I assume you mean 'limey bum sniffers' as opposed to us mongrel scots or other celts. Certainly nothing to do with me. Seriously for a moment, i shall henceforth only be discussing lures from now on,if that's o.k ,..I would like to try and keep my sanity. Will check in again when i carve a few australian style lures ....thanks all

Hi Glider

A lot of Aussie freshwater fish are very lazey and tend to engage the easiest pray large and on there last legs Aussie winter months are our dry season  so low water levels and cold water with no insect life for smaller fish to feed on and Crustaceans dissappear by a hundred fold So keeping a lure moving and in there face is important Floating with a backwards motion and drawing it down again is very effective and as most fish tend to hang behind snags so the dont have to swim means banging into snags then backing up is what is all about

Just to add some design outlines When the  lure body stays perpendicular while floating up the angle and area of the bib cause the lure to move backwards when gived some slack line if the bib is larger towards the front and narrower where it meets the lure body they tend to sway on the way up

Thanks doc, that makes sense. Can think of a few possible applications for me to try. I will try a couple and give them a shot next salmon season. Can see possibility for uncooperative salmon in an awkward lie . Thanks again.

They are nice little lures glider and our aussie freshwater fish would love them.

IM sure madoldeel meant no offence by his comment...simply aussie humour with no disrespect.
You mentioned limey bums :) my family was limeburner they arrived on the first fleet...pomms..convicts who cares...all part of our history.
The pomms dislike the scotts etc etc...over here we all get on...we do rib.each other re football teams...states etc...but all in good humour.

Look forward to seeing some more of your lures soon.
We have many nationalities on here and all class eachother as mates.

Cheers
Jas
