Speaking of squid lures came across this one recently left the other tube lures on the page in case useful to a fly fisherman.
Does say it would be easy to cast.  Not sure about that.

Funny that tube flies never really caught on down here, I reckon they'd be good for many situations.

Been meaning to get a set of gear for the vise to try tying some.

what are you doing with Johns thongs Jas? that squid fly is a beauty it'd be a good one to fish around bridge pylons and such at night
