It's been a while since I have posted any lures. I have been playing around with balsa of late, bit more stuffing around to strengthen it but it has a nice crisp action. Here is my latest batch of vibes 50mm, 60mm and 75mm for bass.

Great work, but only for bass? I reckon you could add a few saltwater species to the list as well, tuna for example.

great looking vibes ,with balsa though wouldnt they just tear out with big fish because balsa is so soft 
it a lot better world if you just smile

Raghubir, they are not through wire, just twisted wire glued in with 24 hours araldite. I made each wire as long as I could fit in the body.

 al49, they shouldn't pull out, I strengthened the balsa with two coats of environtex to harden the exterior. I based construction off a number of USA balsa crank bait builds. I agree that they won't be as strong a harder woods but should be fine for bass.
