The Big Barras were the first of Reidys plastic and were only made in Cairns, Queensland. Here is some info that Jeff sent to me a couple of years ago. Second photo are some of his first plastics with small bibs.

Ahhhhhh now it makes some sense, I have held a belief (quietly) that the Lawsey's Barra Supreme was a copy of the Big Barra, now we know why, it's the same mould.
I just love little nuggets of info like this, makes the whole game interesting, as well as adds just a little more to the Aussie lure making history. Thanks Ian |
