Here are two shadow boxes I have made to show off Keith Boys lure making process. For those that don't know, I was lucky to know Keith and when he fell ill, I ended up with his lure making gear. Amongst that gear were lures in different stages of completion and I always intended to keep them, in their various stages of completion to keep a record of how Keith produced his lures. I don't have every step in the process for both models but I am close.

Cardboard Templates, marked up timber block, bandsaw cut shapes and bib slot and eyelet holes drilled, carved down edges, sanded, eyelets glued in, dipped in sealer/undercoat and the painted/finished product. Note the undercoat, Keith would often mix any old auto acrylics together and use it as a multipurpose sealer/undercoat, it worked.
A little bit of history, with special meaning, to me anyway. Hope you all like what I tried to achieve.

Cheers,

Gavin

Great tribute to a great bloke. Well done Gavin.
Plastic is for storing lures, not making them.
