Ernie Butler originally from Wallangarra but was making them when he lived at Roma Q. One has been on before. Now owns a craft beer brewery at Stanthorpe.
Ernie made those lures whilst working at Roma (train driver)he then moved to Toow area and now lives in Stanthorpe area and opened a micro brewery. His nephew from Tenterfield is also making lures now that's Andrew. Debbie D
Something to help ID these is the soldered gal homemade rings seen on a few of the below lures.

Ernie stated that he didnt use poly bibs only alum.
Some have twisted wire towpoints ,some soldered wire ring, some tenterfield soldered towpoint. Some painted eyes some boggle. Ernie is a train driver instructor still. He did live in Mt Isa and Townsville years ago as well |
