That would be the most impressive collection of CL4's that I've seen for quite a few decades.
Thank you for posting these up John.

One of the orange and a blue lure is marked from the front treble. I guess I used those 2 because I had two of each. They were trolled around the Gardner Banks of Fraser many many years ago in either the first or second Orchid Beach comp.

Lovely collection John. Can you remember when and where you bought them and how many you used at that time. Any lost on fish. Just curious that's all.

Hey Debbie, Most come from Tackle Shops on the Sunshine Coast. I used to fish the Noosa River a lot and would call in on the tackle shops on my way home. When I can't remember. I vaguely remember having a couple for fishing with and then I started buying them when ever I saw them. When Northside Tackle at Aspley closed I remember they were a number of C lures there and I bought them all. A bit of everything in that lot.

Seaweed.

Initially they were bought to be fished with. Back when these were being sold there wasn't much of a selection of lures to buy. You would see something written about in Modern Fishing or Fishing World and then buy it if made to your area. I was buying and making lures and fishing with them in Pumicestone Passage long before the interest in lures eventually took off.

Carl is pleased to see them and we talk :)

Thanks,

John
