Here in Central Texas, we have some of the finest large mouth bass fishing in the world. Tons of large fish in what seems like every little puddle you find. Anyway, me and some of my other musician friends try to get out fishing as much as we can, and yesterday we went out to a little farm pond that a friend of ours has on his property. We were only out there for a few hours, but the fish were biting ! I caught two dozen bass, mostly in the 1 pound to 2 pound (I think that’s .5kg to 1.5kg range or so), but I also caught a few larger ones. It was an absolutely perfect day! I needed it after spending much of my year fighting cancer. I thought you might enjoy a few photos...

Someday I hope to get to Australia and fish. If you come to Texas, please look me up and we will wet a line !

PS I have no idea why the one photograph turned sideways :D

Hi Dave !

Thanks, it was definitely a much needed fishing break ! In a couple days I’m going camping on the beach, going to do some saltwater fishing. Hopefully I’ll catch a few !

And you have a place to stay if you decide to visit central Texas !!

I think “American Bass” magazine is online only currently, but not sure.

Thanks guys !

I spent the last few days on the beach on Texas gulf coast. Lots of sun, but unfortunately it was really windy so fishing was bad. But like they say, “ a bad day of fishing Is better than a goid day of doing most anything else”!

I hope you all are having great days !

PS: just watched an episode of Al McGlashans Fish’n With Mates.... he always cracks me up ! Really makes me want to get to Australia for some fishing !
