Hi guys, I'm only new to the forum and have had a bit of a look around - very well done! Easy to navigate and find what you're after and of course lots of active participants all sharing nicely! Smile

I was wondering if there is a section or could be a section where users post pics of lures that have been mauled/destroyed by fish? Maybe this is exposing my sadistic side Tongue but I always like to hear the story behind such lures, identify what species left what marks, plus it gives others a chance to learn about lures structural strengths and weaknesses.  Of course fond collectors may be advised to look the other way!Wink

Cheers,
Nick.

This is a resin copy of a Leads bibless I used to make in the 80's when I was broke, this Lure did one trip off the Gold Coast, about a dozen Mac Tuna around the 8kg mark, and two Wahoo.

I got this lure from Trevor McFeeters.Brian happened to be at Trev's shed years ago when this was returned to him by a Sydney angler who fished for Pelagics. He ordered more with no signature so his fellow competition members wouldn't know where he got them.

Hi, Here is a popper after a GT session. That white in the photo is the undercoat/primer. The laquer finish was removed by the Gt's. It is retired now figure it has earned it.
Plastic is for storing lures, not making them.

Not quite ready to be retired yet, but this Jester has been chewed many times since 2002 and now has a new lease of life as a Barra lure

This is one of Aaron Young's (Fletch's) lures that had ben hit by jewfish, tailor, queenfish, spanish mackeral, barra and a few other tings I didn't see. Before taking it up the Cape I painted the chips and bites with green nail polish and black texta - that all got removed again.
