Hi all,

Have just been referred to Lure Lovers - great site!

A little embarrassed to say that I have some Deceptions in the box, but I'm not sure what they are...I worked at Compleat Angler Villawood and George Street back in the 90's, and I'm sure these are from that era.
I think:
  • the little guys are Nippers(?);

  • the 'ribbed' lures are Scampi's(?)

  • the bigger ribbed lure is a big mother Scampi(?);

  • and the other three are Shrimp(?) - noting that the one with the reversed eye colour has a different bib.

Thoughts? Comments?

For interest, have inserted a pic of my fishing diary recording a day on the golden's at Windamere from Dec '94 (apparently bow mount electrics with autopilot and foot control were notable back then!). Last sentence goes to what we caught fish on - 50-50 split between a Brown Scale / Crawdad Hot'n'Tot (they had two black dots on the underbelly, hence the reference to 'Black Dot') and Deception Shrimps.

Cheers

G'day Brett?
The black/white is a "Deep ribbed Scampi"
the two clover leafed bibs are "Cherrabin"
Nice lures
Laurie

Hi Brett

Nice lures yu have there and some $ worth.

I would be very interested in the scampi if you decide to sell.

There are peopleon here with more knowledge on deceptions than i have who i am sure will provide you with more info and values.

Jimmy
