Martin i think you are on the right track. I have this DAM Quick 220N. that is quit old (the seventies i think) Yours must be some older, but look at the paint, and the metal you can see looks the same. Also the handle looks familar

Thanks Thore, it is a very interesting reel and will look good with lures hanging off it. I might even service it and give it a fish

Now there's a blast from the past!
My old man had one of those which was his favourite for years. In the end he simply wore the gears just about flat! I still have most of the parts as I've been intending to find another for donor parts and get it working again. His may have been slightly later. It had a single stem, a white hexagonal handle and no bolt through the spool. |

Martin I will try and check my European Reel books and use Maxblue details and see what I can come up with.
The white handle came out in the 50's I believe it was a a larger saltwater model, (surf rod use at the time) have one somewhere, with reel pamphlet.
Slothy what is the model you are trying to repair I maybe able to help. I have a large number of DAM reels and part reels, a guy tossed in a number of parts when I bought five DAM reels off him. A bit heavy but a delight to use. Regards John |
