Nice Cherax and Cherrabin Rob. Very very nice early Cutlet. And as for the pre-Deception, other than a few barra lures that's the only metal bibbed creation of Paul's I've seen. Awesome.

Cheers,

Danny.

Ah yes of course how could I forget. Must be getting old (Or resigned to the fact I'll never own one so I haven't thought about any in a while)

Bit of history, the bib from that lure is the exact same as used in the RMG Battle axe and Rellik Doc. Only difference is that Paul bevelled the tow point holes. One of the reasons it was so hard to ID as that was one clue that pointed me in different directions.

Thanks for that Alistair. I've learnt a lot this week - a bit about metal bibs and also that no curtain anywhere near Paul was safe.

Cheers,

Danny.

Here's a beauty. Paul as far as I know this is one of a few that you made for a Barra trip up north? A treasure for sure.

How did they fish Paul? Did many of them see water on the trip? Very fishy looking lure.

Really well actually Danny, that was the trip that also debuted the Sardinops. The areas we fished were fairly shallow so stuff that was towed from the nose seen more action, a slender minnow that I made for the trip (a larger version of the Lancaster) also worked quite well.

Unreal Paul. Would have been awesome to be on that trip.

Soooo.....Rob. This slender minnow. Do you by chance have one tucked away at Deceptionland?

Cheers,

Danny.

Hi Mate.

There are a quite a few Deception collectors on this site as you can see. I highly recommend posting photos up on here in the classifieds section, as so we can get you the best price for your lures if you decide to sell. They will be very valuable and I think you will get a much better price by keeping it open to all as opposed to taking a private message that might undervalue them greatly. I'm very keen to see some of your older ones.

Cheers,

Danny.

With the recent talk of twisted wire Deceptions, I thought I'd post these....

A full set of omega clip twisted wire Shrimp as seen in the catalogue.

I'm working my way through sets of all Whitmore Shrimp models, however I still have a few to go.

Cheers,

Danny.

Happy to share a couple more of Paul's brilliant lures. This time, a matched pair which are finished with an eye-catching "Painted Cray" pattern.

The top lure is a Series 1 "Yabby"(2012), while it's mate is a Series 2 "Yabby"(2015).

Please enjoy these beautiful works of art,
Col
