Opened the tackle box up on the weekend and was surprised to find these deformed plastic lures. Top ones a rapala, middle is a cheaper knock off of a leads shad, and bomber.
All my braids gone!

Yea, but do they still swim?
I've had a few go in boxes where I have had elastic banded the hooks for at attempt at neatness.

I had an 8 inch Rebel Killer that deformed in the heat. I got an 83 cm barra in Lakefield on it.

And I agree - they look better AND a great ad for timber lures.
Martin-

you don't havta be pretty to fish

Heat and plastic don’t work well at all.
Left a tray of TN60 Jackalls out in the sun once and it didn’t end well. Still caught fish on them afterwards but admit to losing some confidence in them.
Then again, have an Uncle who will take a brand new one out of the packet and crack it on the edge of the boat so it will absorb a little water to deaden the rattle???
Cheers,

Troy

maybe the water swishing around inside attracts the fish?
