Here are my current Don Lawson lures. Don is a New England maker who has been around making lures since the mid 80's. Don mainly makes plastic lures these days but also puts out a limited number of timber lures but these generally dont see the shops.

These ones are the large River kings which have the through the bib tow point onto the lower screw eye. One of these days I will get around to doing an interveiw with Don to record his thoughts behind the design. These are all in timber with the metal bibs done for me upon request as the early ones were made from metal as can be seen in Barry's lure with the typical old style ribbed alloy door type kick plate bib which I hope he will post and was confirmed by Don to be around 20yrs + old. He mainly makes them with thje Lexan bibs these days. Also in the pic is a rare 60mm timber riverking which are all plastic these days.

I have tried to get a pic of the paintjobs on some of these lures. With the Pearl type colour they would produce a nice reflection in the water I think.

Here is the 60mm Riverking in both Timber and plastic for comparrison.

Here are a couple of Plastic Riverkings with metal bibs. I think I will have to ask Don to make me a Timber version if I am lucky.

Here are some Barra Kings in Deep, Shallow and small versions. A typical Herring shaped lure that I have seen in some QLD makers.

Shallow and Deep BarraKings top veiw.

And here is something very special I got. It is a lure made by Don back in the mid 80's to target Jew. About 3 or 4 were made but only this one remains. I love these limited type lures makers do for themselves or special trips that never go into production.

Moulded can still be bought in limited retail shops, timber is generally a direct order / dealing setup.
