Very nice Tony, would have liked to been at Expo to see them up close. Having never used a paddler nor a walker I know little about them but that Duck just looks "despicable".

I seriously want to know how that Duck goes in the water. I think you can see by this post, if you make a few more there will be quite a few keen buyers!

'Duck Rukus' 90mm paddler. Barney. [/QUOTE]
Had a brief look on the interweb , and can't find a duck/bird paddler anywhere. Does anyone know of a duck/bird paddler elsewhere/anywhere on the net or in a book etc? just curious, Barney.

barney, very similar type shape in a post somewhere on the net,(then again its a duck! if it didn't look duckish it wouldn't be a duck!! would it!?) I was lookin last year at birds etc for ideas as surface lures.......haven't looked back since, but think I was looking USA sites and most were under DECOYS, have a look, I know verlon had a play with bird, surface lures at one stage, his was almost exactly the same as the one I had drawn up somewhere in my pile of disorganised mess.
Its funny but my little mice I done a couple of years ago are basically the shape of your duck but you have just refined it (very sleek) very nicely....the paddlers won me, cant wait to see the action, the more you look at the duck the more can be done, its endless, but in this ones case less is perfect. and I don't mean that in a bad way....its bloody brilliant. hurry up and post mine

Hi Jas ,
lve found some bird/duck shaped lures using google images etc tonight , but cant see a paddler/walker form , with or without hinged wings. Theres a couple of popper-blooper style ones , and some that look like ducks but with hooks hanging off them everywhere lve worked on this lure since late last year , some of the prototypes are hilarious made fixed wing and jitter-bibbed versions , and one with huge metal wings from usa lol l will take some video of one of the 20 lm making now.... [and yes , one is yours ] Barney.

Barney I keep my eye out for duck themed lures, and this is the first duck paddler I have seen.
There are a lot of musky/pike lures in USA/Europe that basically look like a rubber ducky with trebles and often times a spinner blade. But never seen a paddler, no.
I still want it BTW. hahaha. |
