If you forget to upload a photo or want to amend a post to make a correction you can edit your own posts.
Display the post (in this case there is a deliberate error)

In case you didn’t spot it….

Select the “Post Options Icon”
From the drop down menu select “Edit Post”

This takes you to an editing screen where you can make changes or add photos

Make the changes to text or photos

At the bottom of the edit post screen is an “Update Post”.  When you have revised your post click on this button

Your post is now edited

Thanks for this thread Simon,  may help to reduce the number of times it takes to load up a post.
Much appreciated.

Mods

Do you have utube and flash turned on for this forum?

I can't remember how to do it, maybe a tutorial on that too please...

Cheers

@Nativeman found this which Tony had posted previously which applies to the videos not sure about Flash.
"Easiest way is to first upload it to youtube, and then click on the insert video button that is on the toolbar displayed when creating/replying to a topic on the LureLovers forum.

Then paste the url (eg youtube.com/etcetc) into the insert video window that pops up, click ok and all done Thumbs Up"

Is there any time limit on the ability of a member to edit their own posts?

Imagine the loss if the Captain ever lived up to his name and deleted 5 years of photos.

The Edit option disappears 24 hours after you post ....... Hopefully Tony will see this and correct it, if I'm wrong.

I don't know what the time frame is, 24hrs may be right. Why don't you just go back to your post 24hrs + ago and see if the edit option is there?  If it is, go back 48hrs, 72hrs, a week etc until you find the time frame. That will answer your question.

It was a bad example using Barry's name though as like all guides he would have the option to edit posts from any time period (which was why I could not answer your question myself as it always comes up as editable for the guides), so hopefully he does not live up to his name as you have suggested Wink
