    Posted: 09 Oct 2014 at 5:01pm
I met Eric before this years expo and Robyn ended up buying one of Eric's little lures. He asked if I would be interested in airbrushing a couple of his little lures as a bit of a challenge. Here is what I came up with.

I get to keep one and I'll send the other two back to Eric. Hardest part was trying to hang onto the little suckers, hence the wire crimped onto the tow point.
I also know Mr Fugly was going to try and do a "bite" out of one, come on Chris, how is it going.

Cheers,

Gavin

Nice Job Gavin,

It's hard to fathom how small those lures are till you have one in your hand Smile I also bought one off Eric.  Very unique lure that's for sure.

Thanks Chris,
The stencil was simple, I used the clear plastic from the front of a display book and a scalpel.Cut the pattern out, trimmed plastic sheet it to suit the size of the lures, then wrapped it around them and held it with a small bulldog clip to paint. It was easier to do than describe...
About your eyes, age is catching up, I need to get new glasses myself, thanks for reminding me.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for yours!
Cheers,

Gavin

Chris, I added more thinners than usual and had to adjust the airbrush right back to just a fine mist. It was pretty easy, I only have a "cheapo" dual action gun and just adjusted both airflow and paint consistency, nothing tricky.
Cheers,

Gavin

Hey Chris, a certain "Teckno Fugly" lure collector has seen these and is going nuts about the little hybrid.LOL
Great job mate, I have a couple of the really small ones to do now, thanks to Eric. I will have to come up with something good to come close to these.
Cheers,

Gavin
