I have been very jealous everytime I see someone post pics of their Expo lures already finished and on backing cards. So Jealous! I have been flat out with work and life, but have been working beyond midnight every night pretty much to try and put a decent batch of Barambahs for this years Expo.
This week I finally got 91 of them finished and ready to start painting. These are Barambah 68's, WD68's, 78's, 88's, a few 108's and some odd sizes up to 138 mm. Also a few Battler 200's in large and mid. Racked up And now blank canvases with a couple of coats of sealer/primer Really looking forward to getting into the painting this weekend. I am working on the 2016 Crays as well, but not promising they will be ready for the expo. There will be 30 again, with anyone who bought a 2015 cray will be offered the opportunity for a 2016 model before I start taking any other names. They are a new design, slightly larger, diving only, with a metal bib. Here are the few bodies I have done so far. I also want to try and finish a few Yak Paddlers too. I can feel another two weeks of pain coming on! Cheers, Matt |

Looking good, Matt.
I've got most of my lures painted and I'm still worried about finishing them on time. Got 100's of soldered tow wires to make and fit. Great that you are on the stand next to us! Looking forward to seeing these masterpieces. Travers

Nice work Matt, appreciate the opportunity to grab another one this year as I am sure there will be a much longer list of people wanting one than you will have available. Still the best group of useable (if you felt the desire to anyway) cray's I have seen.

Keep going Matt, I feel your pain. I have one batch left to paint and one set of nudes to clear and I am done. Done as far as what I am taking to expo. I never got a 2015 cray, be keen on a 2016 if someone else pulls out.

Thanks for the replys guys. I look forward to seeing you all at the expo. It will be good to have you next door Travers.
Allister and Chris, the swim action depth etc of the 2016 crays is very fishy. I will be fishing one in Glenlyon or the Dumeresq when it warms up again. I haven't put any colour on the lures yet. I have been distracted Designing a new wake bait. So many lures to finish and I go and start a new one....... it did turn out pretty cool eventually. You will have to come and check it out at the Expo! Matt |
