An old template I had, resurrected. looks alright.

At the moment it's the only one made, besides the ones from years back (which were a bit thinner through the body and had polycarbonate bibs), I like the new version a lot more.
The original one I sold years back to a bloke who went out and caught a cod first cast with it. He came back and asked for another 3, made them, then asked for 30 more, they never got made.
Oh, and the bandsaws broken, just while cutting 9 red cedar Kad bodies, almost finished too.

I'm still in Werris Creek. Just send me a message if you're interested.
I will be selling a few and taking orders if people want something in particular.
I will be making a batch of Kads soon purely just for sale. I just like making them, it's great that blokes still want to fish with them, brilliant lures.

Well the other day one of the Kads caught the biggest bloody turtle I'd seen in years, hooked him through the back of the neck. Had to pin him down with my knee to get the lure back.
Nearly time for another Copeton trip soon though.

More pics of some finished ones. Some are pre sold. Very happy with the bigger cod lure made from the old template, certainly making more of it.

First swim for the black spotted "yabby" lure today, swam fine, might streamline a little yet though.
Bandsaws back in action today, I'll work the new blade tomorrow.

Tried my new toy today, only an el-cheapo touch up spraygun and after a few trial and errors gave it a go on a couple of extra bodies.
And an old brush painted one of mine from when I was 16-17 or so. Just for you Nicho, note the extra angry fluro orange eyes.

Looking good, and classic freshwater colours.

Your old one looks good for a beginning, and you probably didn't have much to reference on in making them either so well doneClap

I think I might have traced a Rebel Deep Wee R for the shape. Colour and scale pattern inspired by Manns lures.
The Humbrol hobby paint scale pattern was a work of art.

I'm trying to churn a few out while I have a bit of extra time. Most of this lot will be to sell. Really enjoying making them again though.
I couldn't use all of those lures...or could I?

The temptation is there. I'm brilliant at catching snags. They don't seem to care what colour the lures are.

Made a start on Nicho's batch of lures.
I'm very happy with the way my latest batch of kads turned out. Getting near the quality and finish I'm after.
