Thanks to Les, now i can say i've caught an eel-tailed catty on a lure

Caught a few of these on lures before, especially when they are guarding their nests - very territorial. Canooeeeeee - Les told me you bought some lures off him, as usual I couldn't leave without an armful as well.

Haha yeah it's hard not to when you see them all hanging there and the fact he charges a third of the price of most plastic lures you can buy

These bad boys went straight in the tacklebox, the penguin has a nice big wobble just the way i like em

as martin said the cattys are very territorial around their nest site and will readily take a lure.
good stuff, you seem to be hitting the water a bit lately....lucky bugga.

I have 14 straight days of work followed by 7 days of free time. The missus gets 2 days out of that 7, The river gets the restLOL

I got this one at Monduran on a six inch viper ,of all things . Caught a couple around the Tweed on floppy and those plastic worms ,mr twister i think . Around their nest in clear water just drag the worm over it and they couldn`t resist.
