The first 3 I'd pick up would be 1, 4 and 9.
To pick 1 I'd lean toward 9 based on the photos. Depends how translucent the others are in the flesh. (I believe Translucent = good in shrimp imitations) |

Best overall is 9 because it is more translucent - looks more like a jelly prawn. But I like
1 and 7 for tropical freshwater 2,3, 6 and 9 for sand flats 4 for around estuary rocks 5 try for dart, whiting, bream in the surf or ocean rocks (calm areas) 8 and 10 for bass around dark coloured rocks. But many of these are interchangeable with each others.

To go fishing I would tie on 4 then 1 then 10. If no fish I would then change lures.

Totally Transparent!
No 9 is closest. As soon as I work out new piccy machine, I'll post some pics. I don't only have Bass in the aquarium! I have a hobby business, quarantining Glass Shrimp for local Pet Emporium. Cheers MAL

Hi Darcy,
Ric had to go from handmade timber shrimps to plastic molded. The crew he had carving them could not maintain the volume he needed and it was affecting his business. Its a shame because the timber units are ever so intriguing.

I don't breed them, Mick. I collect mine from a local lagoon, quarantine them for 2 weeks, then place them in a holding tank. From the holding tank, they are fed to my Natives. They are fed common fishflakes(goldfish food) while in quarantine. In the holding tank they are fed fishflakes, carrot peel and occasionally peas. They also feed on any Moss that grows on the tank walls. Glass Shrimp are very easy to keep as pets and mix well with any fish that are too small to eat them. Being a staple of most fish diets, even known vegetarian fish will feed on them. Will happily live in a bucket of water, so long as the water temp doesn't climb too high. Some form of cover in their bucket/tank makes them comfy. Thanx for the questions. Cheers MAL
