    Posted: 20 Jun 2014 at 9:58am
Guys, I'm presently getting together 50 odd Seaweed Lures to send down for the Expo. Problem I'm having, is finding the right sized hook protectors. Up here I've been to all the tackle outlets including BCF, Kmart, BigW and can't find, even Ebay hasn't proved any help. They all have either small for #4 hook or smaller, or ridiculously large that are useless.
Can anyone suggest a distributor, where I can source a gross or more of shields to fit trebles #1 and #2, being the commonest size I fit.
Have a bit of time left until Expo, but as these lures are being sold for charity, I'd prefer to safeguard all who handle them. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards, Tony.

What about the clear plastic tubing option?  Bit time consuming but a bit cheaper and can get the tubing in bulk sizes.

For a quick pickup, plastic tubing at bunnings - 5mt, 3mm - Brand - Pope. Just checked and it will fit over a size 1 treble but you need to push it up the bend for it to hold.

John, they would have to beat less than 1/2 that price..
I talked to Tony this morning and pointed him to an ebay seller I got a heap from. The local wholesalers don't have seem to have stock on hand at the moment.
