I am sure you will get some local info but I can advise that big deep lures have been the go such as the Whitmore mega boomers, Deception megaboomers and kaditchas and now the Gidgee Barcoo's.
 
I have only fished it a couple of times 20 years ago and the Legend Yarrums were the popular choice then.
 
Cant advise on colour for there.

Thanks Alistair ,I will be making some Cod lures for a couple of blokes and never having fished there I thought it was wise to ask for some advice in regards to depth and colours. Lofty

Hi Bob i fished the Dash for Cash 7 years ago and came second in on the sessions but we could only catch fish in the 2.5 metres depth.Hope this can be useful info for your lures.Fished using spinnerbaits and deception shrimps.

Each to their own but give me a Kayak on a New England river where I don't see another person on the water but come across plenty of small to medium cod. You don't get the size but all the other things about the area make up for that. Don't get me wrong, I liked Mulwala but a dam will never beat a NE river for the personal experience.Smile
