Going by their $91 and $102.50 price tags I figured at least a couple of people think they know what these are. Auctions are ended now so I was wondering if anyone here had an idea on the maker? I was thinking 75% Marshall on the Kad shaped one, but I don't think so and the other is familiar but I really have no idea.

Saw them to, was thinking the Dart type may have been a very early one?

Fairly certain the bottom lure is not a Dart !
Although I have seen three other lures like this with same book hangers and body shape.
A north QLD collector had them and may still , if he sees this by now he may have more information on maker.
The other top lure not sure but must be more than a few makers made soldered tow points.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a mate with a couple. He also wants to know what they are.

A lot of money to be throwing at unknows then. Starting price of $55 & $70 and the same 3 bidders on both lures, so I would expect that those 3 would know. I am thinking the same maker.

Could early Garra's, but don't think so. The tow points  and eyes are done differently though and the hook hangers seem different. But there are a lot of similarities with the paint.

I thought that the Kadaitcha-type lure was most likely to be one of Terry Marshall's, but it may be a home made job. Could have even been a blank that Peter or Trevor gave to somebody. The straight, black cut-off, across the top of the bib looks familiar.

Pretty sure the bottom one isn't a Dart. Would be interesting to see if it's one of Darren Mitten's early lures.  I originally showed him how to make Guppy's and Diggers.

Fair chance that they both originated in Tenterfield, or thereabouts. Peter taught heaps of the locals how to make lures.  Mitto and I both ran Lure Making courses, at school, for many years.

Good luck with the search,

Travers
