Just a little survey for my fellow trout fishing fans. Question, given a choice of two colours on a trout lure what two colours would you prefer?
Cheers Warren

I would prefer "natural" , but that is more than two, so my pic is Black and gold.

i was always a fan of just a gold scale pattern over black but a couple of years back got to study some stream spawned fingerlings in the stream where i fish.Looking at juvenile trout they're very dull colored no pinks, olives or golds basically they're just a dull silver/grey with a few dark grey pars and the odd dot ,even the eyes are dull.last trout trip i did i made up some of my 45mm trutta butters but just in a greyish silver base and not quite black dots with dull eyes and a matt clearcoat.Only did a few casts with the lure that weekend (it was a fly fishing trip after all) but the trout hit it no worries

Makes some sense when you think about it...who said match the hatch & you will catch...Chris this seems the case....who said fishermen were simple creatures...the more I learn about fishing the more I realize I know butt all.....Mr Smith
