I'm sad to report Eric Westin Moller passed away last Sunday in Cardwell aged 85yrs.
Westy was a Queensland Police Officer during his working life and was posted all over the state, including the Gold Coast, Townsville and his home town of Cardwell. During the late 60's and 70's, when work permitted, Westy would often help his father Eric Snr. make lures in his fathers shed and turned out a few himself, he was the eldest of six children. He caught the lure making bug again in his late 70', while resident at Rockingham Nursing Home Cardwell, making his signature Tiwi Tigers in their Men's Shed. Westy is survived by two younger sisters, a son Bruce and daughter Gayle, as well as several grandchildren. He'll be sadly missed. Regards, Tony. |

Wow, that’s terrible news. One of his Tiwi Tigers is among my most prized possessions. Just a truly special lure to me. I’m very sad to hear of his passing.
RIP Westy |

Ahh, memories. Westy chased us kids plenty of times on the Gold Coast for doing anti-social stuff, like doubling on pushbikes on the footpath or hanging around late at night when we should have been home! RIP Westy.
