had a go at carving a one piece cray today, not quite finished yet as you'll see by the last picture. These are good fun to make but very time consumingBig smile.i'll keep putting up pics as i go along. This guy is carved from a piece of huon pine thats probably six or seven hundred years old,it was pulled from the bottom of the river in strachan Tasmania

Very nice Chris. Looking good. I’ve got a couple of little nude crays on the go but haven’t picked them up for a few weeks. I’ll have to get back on them.

Very nice little lure Chris, Smaller the lure the harder to carve and Hueon Pine is a great timber to build boats too. I love using King Billy is another great timber to carve lures.

Cheers,
Dave

Excellent result Chris,

Truly admire the efforts of anyone that hand carves lures .

3D designing them is fun but some items I have spent over 10 hours fine tuning, and that's just the designing stage, then comes the printing, filling with urethane, sanding and painting.

Be good to see how the little cray performs.

Cheers
Steve
