This came with an Eric Moller lure I got recently. It appears to be not an  authentic Moller because the tiger stripes are not correct, the front hook attachment is not facing backward and the belly is too round.I will take it to Vic to verify my thoughts.

Gday Barry

Certainly looks different from the Eric Moller Tigers I've seen, although it will be great to hear Vic McCristal's thoughts.

I have a couple of lures that were purported to be Mollers I'm not sure of as well, I'll have to dig them out and put some pics up

It looks like it's also got Stainless Steel wire instead of Gal? I've been told before that some of Erics Lures were done using stainless - do you know if that's correct Barry? (maybe another good question for Vic)

Cheers, Tony

Tony according to Vic there was no s/s wires on Eric's lures and the one in the pic has zinc alume bib and gal eyelets. The flash made it seem like s/s.It is very eric except the last stripe near the tail does not have a V in it like the Heddon Tiger.I have not seen that exact shape either.

Something I missed before Barry, it looks very shiny for a painted Moller Tiger - Do you think it has clear coat on it or is that just camera flash again?

I remember you mentioning a while back that Eric didn't use clear coat on his painted lures.

You could buy a Moller in any condition and complete the construction yourself. This would be the cause of so many variations. Looks real enough for me.

Gday Bob,

I'm not sure if Barry's given this one to Vic to look at yet

He's at sea on and off for most of the next week but said he might be online if he gets a chance (driving Bikini clad backpackers around or something like that, poor bugger)  Fishing

Also had one of these thinking it was a Zangrande, mate found it floating in the Fitzroy R.
Think you may need to spend some time on here Peter, correcting many misconceptions.
