I described one above as v44 blue mackerel, it's actually a v-sp100. The difference is the bill. The 44 has a solid white bill. I've been told they made a short run before Storm caught the mistake. I personally like the clear better. They both have same body paint.

Good fish catchers, especially the 74 green fire tiger. I use the v74 around here. The AV's or magnum warts don't bring as much as the V's, but people are still buying them.

I filled the no box set with v44 and v130 that I needed and added 7 of the Japanese. I'd still like any info or pics of v12 and v13 if anybody would like to share.
Thanks |

Maxblue, I got these pics last week. Thought you may have seen them.
The middle right and bottom right are v-sp109 AYU. The bottom left in red box is v80 Iwana.
Top left and bottom left (no box) is an AYU but don't know number. Top right no info. The middle left
is v156 Metallic Yellow Clown. Again I've been told five were made for Japan. These five in picture
all were ordered by Popeyes Sporting Goods in Japan. These could be the five for Japan. Popeyes is like a Bass Pro Shop in U.S.A. There are warts labeled BPS ASST. out there. I have some.
I have the AYU and the Popeye Clown wart.

That's the most wonderful collection of warts I've seen. Mind blowing collection! And some of my favoutie lures to fish, I love the way they stay deep and track under the boat before surfacing.

The catalogs I've got are 81,91,92and 97. I've seen 1978 catalog. The 30 year aniversary
catalog has the best info in it. Not alot but best I've found.

The earliest I have been able to fine adds on the lures is around mid to late 80's,seems to be very hard to find any earlier adds prior to this time in the fishing magazines. regards John

The v series first came out in 1975. As near as I can tell 20-27 colors. Some
clear bills. By 1981 Storm had 43 colors, v series 30 of them. 1989 , 81 colors
and I think all red labels.
I've been collecting for about two and half years. I started looking for one color I was having
pretty good luck with (only had one and found it). It just took off from there. I guess I got hooked.
Wish I started years ago. Bass Pro here in town sold all there warts for $1.50 a piece, then put
Rapala warts on display.
Hope that helps
Tim
