I was sorting out a few lures, and found these 4 that I have not had a chance to wet yet. Then I noticed the bibs. Perhaps Richard can tell us about these variations? Allan

I reckon they look like they would catch a bass or a yellow belly.

Hi Allan, 4 NQ Darts. The Blue/Silver arrowhead bib is same as Blue/Gold bib, just reversed, Red/White bib is same bib but has been nicked one side in die stamping. It has been hand filed to even up shape. The Green/Yellow is another slightly narrower bib, comes in ally or gal for a little more weight forward.Blue/Silver would have a tighter action than other 3 Darts. Most made from W/Beech, R/Cedar & slightly heavier S/Oak. Not fished for Bass before, reckon they`d do the job OK?? Nor Yellow Belly for that matter.Hope that explains the slight differences when looking really closely at some lures, probably not spotted by all viewing?? I wonder. Cheers Richard.

Thanks for the info Richard.
Always good to learn something new about one of my favorite lure brands! I know they have been fished for bass etc before, as I have sent some down to my cousin to use in the Brisbane hinterland. Perhaps he might post us with some pics of the results. Allan |

No yellows yet but I'll keep trying. The bass beat them to it. They seem to like the way the lure wriggle. Me too. PS: If you get a Lee's lures stuck in your hat while still attached to a bass (long story), just cut a hole in your hat and let the fish go unharmed........ |
