Hi all,
I picked up a box of reels last week at a garage sale. i'm only just starting to collect old/interesting
fishing gear. Also got a bundle of rods that I will put up in another topic. Any thoughts are welcome.

Cheers, Mick

They look in good condition for their age.

Hi Mick,
The Alvey should have marked on the spring lever on the back:
Made in Australia then a cat No either 650 A3 or 600 A3.
Timber is cedar with possibly Shellac coating which is coming off.
Made around late 50's to 1960 going by the handles.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info. A little bit of cleaning reveals that
it is a 650 A3.

Love those DAM Quick reels. I have a 331s and a 270 Super.
