I'm not gonna do backflip on my last post just a small change lol, I wanted to give baitcasters one more go and got a decent reel (shimano scorpion xt 1500, basically a chronarch 200e) and a 8kg cheapo graphite travel rod with a medium action so it would load better while casting which was miles better than the 10kg Trion (broom stick) and Abu 5600 I was using I really enjoyed it so much so I've just bought another very similar reel and an old Lews for deep water cranking and a Daiwa PX68 for the ultra light stuff, it is getting expensive but I'd rather $$$ on fishing gear than beer. A lot of practice and tuning and I find you can do anything except skipping with a bc, learning how to pitch a lure properly and you can set your lure on a 10c piece on a very shallow angle under over hanging trees which is great especially when there's no room for a back swing. To actually answer the question which ever one you're most experienced with is best for you, you've just got to have the right action in the rod for the lure and a capable reel to guide the line off.
