    Posted: 11 Dec 2012 at 5:14pm
There were a few people bidding on the last couple of Grunts who missed out, so I carved a few more.

To see if there is still some interest, I'll put up a medium red Grunt (trebles will be included!).
If this lure sells OK, I'll put up a pair (large & medium Grunt), painted in a stunning Candy Apple Red.

Open bids on the forum, are preferred, but if you want to remain anonymous then send me a PM with your bid.

Bidding will end this Friday at 9pm (NSW time). Will make decision on the sale of the lure and the listing of the next pair, then.

Cheers

Travers

Thanks Kev.  Looks like you might be in the running to get this one Big smile.

Hopefully, there's a bit more interest, otherwise I won't put the others up for sale.

Good luck with it.

$50 for a new lure, you gotta be happy with that. Sure beats fishing lure prices.

G'day Al

I think that you may have completely misinterpreted my comment.  I'm not unhappy with $50, hence the Big smile

I was hesitant about putting up the Candy Red Set, if only one person was interested in them. 90% of the lures that I make are $13 - $17 fishing lures.  Other than the Collector Sets and the limited numbers of Kads, I only make a few of these "higher value" lures.

Anyway, I haven't seen you on LL's for a while.  Hopefully that means you've been busy fishing, rather than working.

Cheers

No fishing, always the other. Thumbs Down

I was not having a go at you, I just thought it seemed strange that a $50 price for a new lure was seemingly reasonable which your post seemed to imply that it maybe not worth putting up for sale. You have clarified that though.

I know you make a few sets for collectors which seem to command higher prices which obviously the market will dictate for you. I know this lure is a limited make model for you but not sure where it fits in to the fishing lure to collectable. Depends on the purchaser I guess. Definatly a topic to be discussed one day.Question

Honestly it looks like a lure I would like to own and a Candy Apple Red set / pair would be neat

But too rich for my blood at fiddy bucks for one lure for what it is.

Hope you get what you want for them.

One hour to go - by my watch.  (Not sure what time the LureLovers watch is running on!).

Hopefully this little Grunt will make its way north to the Grunter's house! Big smile

Cheers

This is the Candy Apple Red pair of Grunts that I was going to put up for sale but, with limited interest in the medium red Grunt, I'm a bit reluctant to go through the same process.  I also carved a large, old-style Guppy and medium Grunt and painted them in a 50:50 mix of California Gold:Mint Green Candy Concentrate, resulting in a stunning shade of green (thank Bryan!).

All lures are 'signed'.  If any members are interested, send me an offer.  There's a lot of time and work in the sets, particularly the big lures, so genuine offers only, please.

Cheers
