I went to town today to pick up a convict, well that's what I  told Brian and left him scratching his head.
I returned these back to Glenlyon Dam where my mate bought them from my Kiosk at Easter 1988.
Check out the Aussie 200 signatures! This could put the signature collectors back to square one.

Them there are SWEEEET!
My Murrays, Bill and Jim, are 60+70mm long.
Still too small to try to eat lures, maybe in a coupla years.

Stinger - sold to this man Easter 1988 for sure as I didn't see him again til 10years on. Trevor's business name was registered 3rd March 1988 and design contract between Peter Newell and Trevor dated May-July 1988.  Bi-centenial year 1988 that's why Aussie 200. Debbie D.

It all just got too hard.
I think I might start collecting timber stumpys instead.

Stinger i would like to know the numbers also but doubt they would be that high as they were hand carved, but beats me why there isn't more Stumpy's as most were from a Lathe I think ?

Numbers on the timber StumpJumper were low because
John Ellis found a better system !!! For the fish catchers !!
Allas, but for the collector, imagine if he made the amount
that Trevor made !! Man !! Everyone would have all different
Colours !!! Fish on !!!!

Ellis moved to plastic very quickly because of the huge demand for such a huge success rate cod catching lure.

The wooden ones continued to be used because they were better than the plastic ones and there was no collecting of Aussie lures at that stage.

Cheers,Jim

1986? I put the dates up. Started making lures under Tenterfield Lures 1988 and last lure made in late 2002 when Trevor shut the tackle and camping shop in Tenterfield. The only lures that Trevor made prior to 1988 was carving but not painting for Peter Newell. I have had many conversations with Trevor over the years and I fire questions at him and all is written down. One day I will do his story. My next project will be a Dart colour chart and I will need a lot of help.Trev was a colour King.      Debbie D
