ClapHere are some before and after shots of my Leads Lure and my Killalure Devastator after Fysshe worked his magic on them. They are true works of art and brought life back to a couple of sad looking lures. Thanks Fysshe!ClapClap
Cheers Scotty

Nice one Ian! A lot of work in redoing pre loved lures, so great effort.
Cheers,

Thanks guys, it certainly was a challenge that Scotty gave me! I have repainted a few Leads and Killas before but they were to be fished with again. The Leads was easy to strip as the wood sealer had reverted and gone soft and the bib fell out in the process making the task a little easier. I think the wood was Cedar. The Killa was a bit more difficult and I had to crack the paint off with the back of my knife and peel it like a boiled egg! The wood was very hard and heavy, maybe Beefwood?
Painting was pretty basic using standard stripe patterns for the Leads. (I have never tried "Tiger" stripes so I didn't bother) I used a crab pot bait holder to achieve the large mesh pattern on the Killa but I scuffed the base coat when removing it! Angry In hindsight, I should've let the paint dry a bit longer.
Anyway I was pleased with the result! Here are a few pics of the process....
