I believe these two rippers wooden lures are Oven's Lures. It is believed that only about 50 were made of the first type. Can this be confirmed? Does anyone know their maker and approx age? Any information would be great :)
Unknown model, 90mm body.
Bidgee, 80mm body.

Ovens Lures were made at Wangaratta on the Ovens River in Victoria.
I spoke to the original maker and then posted on the other site about 4 years ago.He told me that he had started 15 to 20 years prior and only made about 50 of the axe-head bib models. Not sure if mine is wood or urethane.
My 2 Bidgees are definately moulded and the bent bib one has a rattle
He sold the business to someone in Yarrawonga and that was all I could find out.
Cheers,Jim
