Some of you northern guys may have run in to Malcolm Douglas on one of his many trips .
He even made it to Lake Pedder.

what a great read,Mal was certainly ahead of his time when it came to conservation .The programs where he travelled with the Aboriginals were really good it was good to get an insight into their ways and the respect that Mal had for them and them for him was obvious,we really need more of these types of shows and less cooking or reno programs I recon. He certainly was an interesting bloke

Remember watching a few of his programs on TV when i was growing up.
I always thought of him as the Australian version of Sir David Attenborough with his knowledge on our animals and land.
Cheers

James

He caught fish on a silver wrapper from a Cadbury chocolate bar when they were on the bite.

Great article John. I used to really enjoy his documentaries and fishing expeditions, they were fantastic. He was indeed, ahead of his time.

Thanks for sharing!
cheers steiny
