Outstanding Design by Lofty obtained at the recent Lake Borumba meet and greet, put it away ((((in a safe place)))) and could not find it until only recently.
I was blown away with the workmanship, material used, and unusual design.

Some comments about the design.

Wing keel in reverse.
  747
Works like a charm.
7 laminated pieces of wood
Test run held at Nicho, and the  guys had a chance to fondle the lure.

No doubt Ted can add some more appropriated details later on.

Anything different regardless what it is in the fishing field receives my full attention.

I have tried to take some interesting slides for all you keen lure collectors. Sun continues to hide behind clouds.

Regards John

Without that 'sail' you would lose 2 of the laminates.

A hallmark of Lotys work, those eyes.
I have quite a few of the Tall Ones Lures, the eyes are distinctive.

I know I won't get an answer here BUT- Lofty, I'm scratching my head as to how you stop it rolling over with all that wood on the bottom and the BIG bib,,,,,lots of lead?.
Very nice lures by the way, all of them.

Pete, I couldn't see any evidence of a hole for weighting unless he cunningly did it internally. The wide shoulder seems to stop it falling over and the silky oak seems to add some weight where needed at the waterline and on the belly, the timber in the 'fin' is quite thin. It swam like a trooper with a lovely wide waggle and shimmy...be a nice cod action IMHO.

When I LOOK and think about it, those low 'side flaps' (for want of a better word Big smile) would create a lot of drag when it's moving, no way it could turn over, ingenious design Lofty  Thumbs Up.
