These are 2 new Knolls that I found at the racetrack in Townsville on the weekend.
The bottom one looks like a Knoll's but unsure with the rear hanger.

They look like they are sheet metal plated to me.
I see a hammered finish. Am I the only one ?

I have others of these that I collected over the years. The top one was given to me by a tackle shop owner who said they were John Knolls. Is that the fellow who unfortunately had a gunshot wound?
The metal is folded over then filled with glue or resin.I'm confused.

TBH mate, I don't really have interest in them, as they aren't 100% recognisable as Knols. I picked up a couple of wooden Knols the other week, so my collection is complete, not looking anymore.... |

Gday Mr_Willy, Do you mean that a lot of people might not recognise them as one of John Knolls lures as they are unaware? If so, I agree, in that I certainly wouldn't have recognised what they were if Barry hadn't posted these up. Now that the knowledge is out there I imagine more than a few people are keeping an eye out for them, I certainly am! |

Yes that is exactly what I mean.
I am sure that John made plenty of lures when he was playing around in his early days, as would any lure maker, but he is famous for his Native series. I agree, these lures are rare, however I think you would struggle to find anyone willing to pay good money for them... |
